TRAINING FOR ORGANISATIONS OPCW 12-16 MAY 2014

On 12-16 May 2014 in the Central School of PSP was the second training already for sampling chemical substances in terms of environmental contamination ( The training course in Conducting sampling and analysis in a highly contaminated environment) . This course was organized under an agreement between the Central School of the State Fire Service and the Technical Secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons ( The Technical Secretariat of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons ) . The process of organizing the course and its implementation proceeded under the supervision of the Security Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Headquarters of the PSP.

The participants of the training were 18 people from 17 states parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons . Countries that were represented by the participants are: Algeria , Brazil , Czech Republic , Jordan , Colombia , Mauritius , Mexico , Montenegro , Pakistan , Macedonia, Moldova , Poland , Romania , Singapore, Saint Lucia , Tunisia , Uganda.

In the course of the training, participants received extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the use of personal protective equipment , including the use of respiratory protective equipment and chemical protection suits . Participants got acquainted theback sampling techniques substance in terms of biological and chemical contamination . Education during the course was above all practical . Participants held a test in the smoke chamber and realized a series of exercises in terms polygon , whose leitmotif was a sampling of substances using personal protective equipment .

The course enabled the exchange of information and experiences between the participants of training, as well as providing a forum for discussion on potential areas of cooperation in the field of protection against the dangers of chemicals.
