Visit to Early Childhood Home

On 20.12.2013 the Commandant of the Central School of the State Fire Service - Senior Brigadier D.Eng. Marek Chmiel was invited by sister Joanna Rękas – the Director of Edmund Bojanowski Home of Early Childhood in Częstochowa to a Christmas Nativity Play performed by pupils aged 3-10 years. The Nativity Play was prepared by carers and sisters.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by:

- Deputy Mayor of the city of Częstochowa - Przemysław Koperski
- Mrs Barbara Mizera – Director of Social Welfare Centre in Częstochowa
- Mrs Alexander Eagle – Head Teacher of Elementary School No. 39 in Częstochowa,
- Mrs Agnieszka Centkowska - Deputy Head Teacher of Elementary School No. 39 in Częstochowa,
- Father Richard Bortkiewicz - parish priest of St. Barbara church in Częstochowa,
- the Central School staff, cadets in the first and second year of the full-time course for Aspirants of National Fire Service, and people who help and support the Children's Home every day.
After the play, the children were rewarded with thunderous applause. The Staff and cadets of the Central School had prepared packages of gifts which were presented to the sixty three chargers of the Early Childhood Home. While receiving the gifts, one could see the joy and happiness radiating from the laughing faces’ of small actors.
The participation of the Commandant with the staff and cadets of the School is a continuation of our support for the chargers of the Children’s Home, started in 2011.
We are glad that we can help not only during rescue and fire fighting actions, and we are convinced that our support and help will last.
