PROMOTION CEREMONY OF CADETS OF THE XVI UNIT OF THE FULL-TIME COURSE FOR ASPIRANTS OF THE STATE FIRE SERVICE AND FIREFIGHTERS ON THE EXTRAMURAL COURSE FOR ASPIRANTS OF THE STATE FIRE SERVICE

On 11 July 2014 at 12.00 the promotion ceremony of cadets of the XVI unit of the full-time course for Aspirants of the State Fire Service as well as firefighters on the extramural course for Aspirants of the State Fire Service was held at the Central School of the State Fire Service in Czestochowa. The promotion  ceremony was preceded by a solemn Mass in Jasna Góra, the Sanctuary of Black Madonna of Częstochowa. The Mass was attended by the school staff, cadets and firefighters who were being promoted, invited guests, and family and friends of those promoted to aspirant rank.

The promoted at the Central School of the State Fire Service were:

- 86 graduates of the full-time course for Aspirants of the State Fire Service

- The top student of the XVI unit of the full-time course for Aspirants of the State Fire Service in Częstochowa was 1st warrant officer Rafał Eichner with the average grade of 5.0. In reward for the highest average mark, he received awards from the Mayor of Częstochowa - Mr. Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk and the Commandant of the Central School – Colonel Marek Chmiel. 

- The company commander was Major Zbigniew Purgal.

 

Others promoted were:

- 131 graduates of the vocational training course for technicians of fire service.

- The head of the course was Major Mariusz Przygoda. 

 

The chief Commandant of the State Fire Service - Major General Wiesław Leśniakiewicz handed the Graduates nominations for 1st warrant officers.

After the solemn promotion ceremony, the newly nominated received the blessing from Lieutenant Colonel Father Henryk Kuczob.

 

The solemn promotion ceremony was the culmination of a two-year training period, during which the graduates had acquired theoretical and practical knowledge and professional preparation for the profession of technicians of fire service. During rescue and firefighting actions, in which they had participated as staff of the School’s Rescue and Firefighting Unit, they had learned to operate a modern rescue equipment and had acquired the skills necessary to perform the difficult task of rescue.

 

The recent period of high alert due to heavy rainfall showed that the graduates effectively used their knowledge and experience. Thousands of firefighters, including the graduates, participated in removing the effects of floods in the Świętokrzyskie Province, gaining professional experience and thankfulness of people at risk of flooding and victims. Our cadets showed great commitment, professionalism and responsibility, which had been noticed and appreciated by local authorities, the public, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service.

 

The competitions were graced with the presence of local authorities of Częstochowa with the mayor of Częstochowa - Mr. Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk at their head. There were also provincial commandants of the State Fire Service, commandants of schools of the State Fire Service , district and municipal commandants of the State Fire Service, former commandants of the Central School SFS, as well as representatives of uniformed services, clergy, representatives of the Club of Generals of the State Fire Service, and representatives of Częstochowa and Silesian Province universities.

 

At the end of the ceremony was a parade in which, in addition to the school company, the company of the promoted, once again the brass band of Mykanów Volunteer Fire Service participated.
