COMMEMORATION OF THE 20th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASSOCIATION OF RETIREES AND PENSIONERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND FIRE SERVICE

On 11 September  2014, the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of the Republic of Poland Fire Service was held at the Central School of the State Fire Service in Czestochowa.

The Commandant of the Central School SFS – Colonel Marek Chmiel, as a host, solemnly handed over the possession of the school to the authorities of the Association for the duration of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of the Republic of Poland Fire Service. Moreover, the Commandant expressed his respect to the activists and their achievements, and, from that place, he also invited all those present to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of establishment of the Central School of the State Fire Service in Czestochowa.

During the ceremony, the activists who rendered great service to our country were awarded Gold and Bronze Badges of Merit for Fire Protection, the Engineer J. Tuliszkowski Medals of Merit, Gold Sign of the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of the Republic of Poland Fire Service , Badges of Merit for the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of the Republic of Poland Fire Service Poland and jubilee medals.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Senate Unit of Firefighters – retired Major General Zbigniew Meres, Andrzej Pilot - deputy governor of Silesian Province, Andrzej Kwapisz – district governor of Czestochowa, Zdzislaw Wolski – Chairman of the City Council of Czestochowa, Major General Wieslaw Lesniakiewicz - Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service, retire Major General Teofil Jankowski - former Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service and the first Commandant of the Central School of the State Fire Service in Czestochowa, representatives of the Club of Generals of the State Fire Service, provincial commandants of the State Fire Service, commandants of fire service schools and chaplains of the State Fire Service.
