LECTURE Brig. MARIUSH FELTYNOWSKI FUNCTIONING ON SEARCH AND - RESCUE

From 29.06 to 07.03.2015 year in the Central School of the State Fire Service visited the brig. Mariusz Feltynowski. His presence was related to the implementation of the project financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Capacity building in the exploration groups - emergency in Armenia ".

    Brig. Mariusz Feltynowski is deputy director of the National Centre for Coordination of Rescue and Civil Protection Headquarters of the PSP. He participated in several humanitarian operations throughout the world including without limitation in Pakistan, Haiti, and more recently in Nepal. Twice during these trips, he served as commander of Polish heavy search and rescue group.

Using his presence Commandant of the School st. Brig. dr. Marek Chmiel invited him to share their knowledge on the functioning w / in groups with staff and listeners school.

   On July 2, in the auditorium of the School held a meeting with Mr. Brig. which he was attended by staff, school students and a 15-strong group of rescuers from Armenia participated in the training. After being welcomed by the Commander Brigadier School. Feltynowski using the presentation discussed:

   - The organization and place of exploration groups - in a national emergency rescue system - extinguishing,

   - The legal basis for the exploration and disposal groups - rescue for international action

   - The share of Polish heavy exploration group - Rescue in action to provide humanitarian aid after the earthquake in Nepal including the availability of forces and resources, preparation and transport to and from Nepal group, carrying out activities in Kathmandu, and also in several mountain villages in the region of Gurkha.

   In the difficult conditions under which the work came rescuers have at their disposal professional equipment and logistic facilities. In Nepal, was attended by 81 firefighters of the State Fire Service and 12 rescue dogs.

   After a very interesting lecture Brig. Feltynowski, which is also responsible for the ongoing project for rescuers from Armenia together with the Commander of the School st. Brig. dr. Mark Chmiel collected in the presence of school staff and students handed in our foreign colleagues the next three certificates of completion of project activities, the end result will be to build a professional group of exploration - rescue in Armenia.
